[VIDEO] Lisbon’s forgotten Villas and Palaces

In this episode of Infiltration: Portugal we are exploring two abandoned locations, as well as Lisbon’s history. The first location we visited was the Palace of the Counts of Ribeira Grande. It was built in the early 18th century by a descendant of Vasco da Gama. It is one of the largest Baroque palaces in the city, currently undergoing a restoration project.

The second one was found by mistake. Besides learning that the name of the villa is Casa Das Camelias and that it’s from 1810. there were no other documents to learn anything about this beautiful house. The villa is occupying a huge lot with multiple stories in variable phases of abandonment. Perhaps the weirdest part is a narrow underground tunnel in it’s basement.
